The 32 mm diameter speaker offers clear audio even in noisy environments. The compander (compressor/expander) also supports higher clarity by avoiding interference. A mute function is included.
With 16 channels to choose from, you can assign different ones to specific team members. And the scan function can be used to monitor multiple channels without having to search manually.
The backlit LCD keeps the user informed of 3 -level battery status, VOX, Low Power, Key Lock, Monitor, Privacy, and Signaling ID. In addition, the LED offers instant confirmation of operating status, lighting either red (transmitting) or green (busy).
For peace of mind, Privacy Talk protects against casual eavesdropping.
Sub-audible QT tones (49) and DQT digital codes (104) in CB mode can be used to filter out unwanted signals and thus avoid distracting voice traffic.
For use in noisy environments or when there is a need for privacy, the PKT-300 is backward compatible with KENWOOD audio accessories.
*Sold separately
When used with an external audio accessory, the radio’s internal VOX, with 5-sensitivity settings, allows for hands-free operation: transmission starts automatically when the user talks.
You can control radio use by staff with Super Lock, an extension of Key Lock, which stops a user from changing to another channel; and with Busy Channel Lockout (BCL), to prevent a user from transmitting on a channel that someone else is currently using.
This new belt-clip holster rotates 360 degrees in both directions, so the PKT-300 can be perfectly positioned for convenience. Push the tab to release the radio from the holster, and slide it back until it snaps in place. Battery charging is possible while the radio is attached to the holster.
Tailored for professional-grade applications, this radio meets or exceeds MIL-STD 810 C, D, E, F, G, and H for durability.
Note: Necessary conditions to meet MIL810 and IP standards are: 1) cap is installed in 2-pin accessory connector, and 2) cover is attached to the battery compartment.
